The Challenge
What A1 Lawn Wanted
A1 Lawn wanted to increase brand awareness for their products while growing their customer base.
They were worried their previous success was just from word of mouth. While there’s nothing wrong with that, they didn’t have a reliable way to guide their sales and revenue. They wanted to tap into a more reliable and measurable marketing channel.
While they were also prepared to sell through other stores, such as Amazon, they wanted to establish themselves in the market and increase brand awareness.
The Challenge We Faced
Our challenge was to find the perfect platform to showcase their lawn care products. The client had a small budget and low product value so needed to make sure our advertising was super efficient in maximising sales. They needed us to generate a profitable campaign.
After careful consideration, we recommended SMA (social media advertising). Why? If implemented correctly, it can be a quick way to boost brand awareness and website traffic. Yes, you have to spend money to see results, but you are always in control of the budget.
As our client could see, pretty soon after we started the campaign the ROAS was worth it!

How We Tackled the Problem
Different Audience Types
We split the social media campaign up by different audience types and expanded from just remarketing. Next, we introduced lookalike audiences and interest-based targeting. That way, we captured the attention of people that were already interested in gardening and lawn care.
Brand Awareness Campaigns
We started brand awareness campaigns promoting how-to blogs with specialist tips for gardeners. It wasn’t all about the hard-sell of products!
We experimented with targeting methods to broaden brand awareness further.
This, in turn, led to more traffic to their website and more sales. Ker-ching!
Personalised Facebook Ads
By feeding users, and potential future customers, with personalised Facebook ads, we were able to provide a more nurturing journey. Feeding customers with information and product details that they actually wanted led to a significant increase in revenue, and an excellent ROAS.
Campaign Calendar of Different Ads
We created a campaign calendar to target lawn solutions/problems throughout the year, together with a list of adverts to prevent ad fatigue, something that wasn’t done very often for A1 Lawns previously!
Ad graphics were improved to showcase before-product use and after-use images better – these were very basic before.
